PACKERS-BUCCANEERS ONE-LINERS

Tampa Bay’s defense held the Packers to 28 yards on the ground and 181 yards of total offense. Said Bucs coach Jon Gruden of LB Derrick Brooks, “We know he’s been nursing and working through an injury. What he played like today was the Derrick Brooks that everybody recognizes. He made plays sideline to sideline.” Said Brooks of his effort, “As good of a day as it was, it still could have been better.” Said Bucs RB Warrick Dunn, “We can’t turn the football over. We can’t do stupid things at the wrong time. It’s still a work in progress, but we’re progressing.” Buccaneers QB Brian Griese had a 36 quarterback rating after going 15-of-30 for 149 yards and three interceptions. Bucs rookie Dexter Jackson is showing glimpses of his potential. For the Packers, injuries are becoming a greater concern with each passing week. Green Bay’s secondary made some big plays, but they weren’t enough. Packers P Derrick Frost could be in danger of losing his job. Packers RB Ryan Grant was bottled up for 20 yards on 15 carries.
