SIMPSON LAWYER ACCUSES JURY OF AN “AGENDA”

The lawyer who represented Hall of Fame/Walk of Shame running back O. J. Simpson in his most recent criminal trial believes that the jury who convicted Simpson had an agenda. “This was just payback,” Yale Galanter said Saturday. “They were on an agenda.” The “agenda” was, of course, righting the perceived wrong that was done 13 years ago to the day, when Simpson walked away from murder charges despite what seemed to be overwhelming evidence that O. J. had killed his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. But if Simpson were smart, he would have factored that possibility into everything he thereafter did, and he would have acted accordingly. Instead, Simpson has been convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery, and 10 other charges.
