CHAMBERS, DAVIS, TUCKER DOUBTFUL

As the Chargers prepare for the first of two games played a long way away from their home field, they’ll likely be doing so without receiver Chris Chambers, receiver Buster Davis, and linebacker Jyles Tucker.
All are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game at Buffalo.
Chambers injured his ankle 12 days ago against the Dolphins.  Davis has a groin injury, and Tucker has a hamstring strain.  None of the three players practiced this week.
For the Bills, cornerback Terrence McGee is out with a lingering knee injury.  But receiver Roscoe Parrish (wrist) and quarterback Trent Edwards (“head”) are both probable.
Ashton Youboty (foot), Melvin Fowler (elbow), and Aaron Schobel (foot) are questionable for the Bills.

BUSTer Davis hasn’t done anything anyway, and even though he
isn’t quite as fast as VJ, Floyd has hands like glue and
can run routes very well so he will step up again like he
did against the Pats. Depth is a strength at LB even without
    Merriman so that shouldn’t be a problem…
    Buffalo favored by 1 tho….??

Hey Florio, when is the live chat going to start today?

Shouldn’t McCargo be on the injury list? Didn’t he fail a physical?

Of course BUSTer Davis is on the injury report. It’s fascinating how a player can get hurt so often while never playing. Imagine how easy it will be for him to be injured if he actually catches a ball and gets tackled. He changed his name from Craig to Buster right after we drafted him, so you knew how that would end.

Front end of a 2 week long trip.
And of course its a 1pm start with the Bills coming off the bye week.
NFL sticks it to the Bolts again. Making sure every team the Bolts play away from home is coming off its bye week.
Craig Davis is on the injury report again? the hell you say…

    Buster is out.
As in “OUT” of Norms good graces.
Buster scratched himself for the last game say he just could not do it.
Norm was pissed as he had no idea that there was a chance he could not play.
They worked on a number of plays that involved Buster and Norm viewed it as a waste of the teams time and stated that he would not have done it if he had known Buster might not be able to go.
I see a healthy inactive for Buster as long as Sproles can still work the return game.

why would the bills not be favored? they’re 4-1 coming off the bye at home (where they’re always tough even when they suck) against a team that is 3-3 and has to travel cross-country.

Thank God – when Chambers was with the Dolphins he killed the Bills on a regular basis…..even if he didn’t play an all-around great game he always seemed to reel in at least one momentum-shifting bomb per game.
He also had a 3 TD game a few years ago, all while be covered by San Fran’s 80 million dollar man, Nate Clements

I am a huge Charger fan. As for the Patriots game, their secondary was playing so far off the wide receivers, it isn’t any wonder that Floyd had a good game. The Chargers may have height at wide receiver, but the one thing they don’t have is any speedy wide receivers to stretch the field.
The Bills should be favored in this game. The Chargers are playing at 1 pm EST. That is 10am on the west coast. The Chargers are probably still wearing their footy pajamas at 10am west coast time. The Chargers didn’t seem to be prepared for the Dolphins, I don’t have a lot of faith that they will be any more prepared to play the Bills.

buffalobob… I’m not saying the Bolts should be favored, I’m just saying that the games prior to this one have been set at odd spreads. Look at the past few weeks and you’ll see. But I agree the Bills should be favored by one or two. 2 years ago the bolts went up there and had a hard time. And that was when the Bills were kinda sucky. And filbertkiwi71, Chambers is freakin fast. Thats why we got him. Cuz we lacked speed. But you can’t argue that Floyd is noticably slower than VJ, who is more top end speed. Go Chargers

    Chargers–man for man–have better roster.
Also, they just played their best game of
the season, Bills just played their worst.
THAT’s why Bills shouldn’t be favored.

  12. Norton says: Oct 17, 2008 11:50 PM

With McGee out and Youboty questionable, the Bills may be down to 2 rookie corners out of the 3 they’ll use. I can’t see them slowing up the Chargers offense, especially since they get no pass rush either. The wrong team is favored. Load up on the Chargers and the over.
