ROMO WON’T START

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who was supposed to miss four-to-five weeks with a broken pinkie suffered six days ago, will be active on Sunday when Dallas faces the Rams. But Romo won’t start. Instead, the starter will be 40-year-old Brad Johnson. It’s unknown whether Romo will be the backup to Johnson or the No. 3 quarterback, behind Brooks Bollinger. If the third quarterback enters the game before the fourth quarter, neither of the other two who dressed for the game may return. Our guess continues to be that the Cowboys will stick with Johnson if they can get and hold a lead over the 1-4 Rams.
