Several readers have advised us that the framed jerseys presented to former Bucs fullback Mike Alstott during halftime of Sunday night’s game between Seattle and Tampa contained a small glitch.
Though Alstott’s name was spelled correctly on the red Pewter Era jersey, the creamsicle version bears the name “Alsott.”
We blew our chance to capture the image, and we’re making an open call to PFT Planet for the screen shot. Whoever sends it gets a free one-year subscription to the site.
UPDATE: Here it is. Thanks go out to Jim. Apparently, the Bucs spelled his name that way during the first few games of his career.

At least it didn’t say Asslott. (man, I can’t believe I just wrote that)…
just checked on Gamepass, and yup, Alsott and Alstott, maybe thats why he look so pissed when on camera..
It was intentional, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Apparently they misspelled his name on his game jersey for the first few games.
I understand it was THE original jersey he wore so the mistake goes back a few years…. Culverhouse years?
Maybe that is why Gruden called him Mark. To distinguish him from
Alsott and Alstott.
Get real guys, I was at the game and they announced it was intentional since it was his actual first game jeresey. They showed gamed footage of his first game showing his jersey with his name misspelled. I would hope on a Sunday night you would have a real story to report.
Well, the name misspelling might have been intentional, but they really blew it by using the gay pirate uni.
Anyone know if Jay and Bryan (Glazer) are related?
Just proves that nothing good comes from those jerseys. They should be burned and all ashes fired into space. Anyone suggesting a “throwback” game should be tarred and feathered.
classy player….and you all have a bunch of no class posts.
Alstott was an amazing player and this is all you guys come up with to say…sad.
There actually was a game last night. I guess that’s not “newsworthy”.
