Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has posted a note on TomBrady.com, saying that everything is looking good following his second knee surgery, which treated an infection that developed after his first knee surgery.
“Unfortunately, in the week following the surgery, I developed an infection,” Brady said on his web site. “The infection is very treatable and, through a course of antibiotics, it will be knocked out of my system. We were proactive with the infection and the doctors went in for a second procedure this past Wednesday to clean and to test the wound. The results of the tests have all been positive.”
It was reported last week that after the first surgery to repair a torn ACL, Brady needed a second surgery because an infection had developed.
Brady said he’s preparing for 2009, and that his doctor described his knee as “rock solid.”

“The results of the tests have all been positive.”
That’s what Magic Johnson said, too.
Can’t wait until next season. Hurry and get well Tom. You are the ultimate athlete and gentleman.
“You are the ultimate athlete and gentleman.”
I wonder if his baby mama shares that sentiment?
I guess Brady means he feels positive about the fact that all tests have been negative.
‘Rock Solid’ yet they needed to do another surgery to fix the infection etc etc
Sounds like Vox has abandonment issues. I’m sure your Dad
still loves you. Call him.
Gene– Tom told me to tell you he’s flattered, but he’s already seeing someone.
Sounds like MRSA to me. Tom’s lucky he had around the clock treatment to observe the knee, otherwise it wouldn’t be merely his career he would be hoping to resume but walking on two legs.
Uh, he evidently means the tests have all been “negative,” i.e., meaning showing nothing bad. In medicolese, “positive” means something has been found, such as “positive for MRSA.”
