BILLS EXTEND DICK JAURON

The Bills are one of the surprise teams in the NFL this season, sitting atop the AFC East with a 5-1 record. Now coach Dick Jauron has been rewarded.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Bills and Jauron have agreed on a three-year contract extension that will keep Jauron in Buffalo through 2011.
The 2008 season was the final year of Jauron’s current deal, which means we could have had the unusual situation of a playoff coach becoming a free agent after the season. But now the Bills have made sure Jauron won’t be going anywhere any time soon.

I’m in favor of extending Dick whenever possible.
At least when it applies to me.

    Interesting phraseology in the title.

Ha ha!! Thats pretty funny! Maybe the pun was intended?!? 😉
Good for him though, he’s a good coach and if I remember correctly, was lambasted for a couple years in Buffalo…..

How do the Rooney’s feel about this? Shouldn’t he have had to wait until his contract was up and had the Bills bring in a minority candidate to see if they really wanted to keep him? Someone in Pittsburgh must be pissed…

BRILLIANT COACH? YEAH RIGHT! THAT WHY BEARS FIRED HIM.
Today early in game bills with Marshawn Lynch gaining huge chunks of yards on the ground get a first and goal on the miami 5 yardline. so the genius jauron takes out lynch who was NOT tired or hurt or shaken up or anything , takes him out of the game and gives jackson the ball 3 times in a row and is stopped and has to settle for a FG and give miami back the momentum. A REAL GENIUS -JAURON!
Trent Edwards is not a good quarterbck in this league. He is more overated than Anderson by the media. As a matter of fact he is vastly inferior to Browns Anderson. Today Edwards on his very own gave that game away to the Dolphions, a game his superior Bills team was easiy winning. Then for no reason he recklessly turns the ball over 3 times and completely changes the momentum. He is a terrble QB, you saw him play the Giants last year. I wish the media would scutinize him the same way they investigate how Eli Manning plays. Losman is probably a better QB than Edwards. Even now!

Trent Edwards said “WE made mistakes”
    HE made the mistakes himself!
“I think a lot of it had to do with field position and a lot of little mistakes and missed assignments and it’s kind of frustrating,” said Trent Edwards. “We made mistakes that got us beat and that’s what’s frustrating. We didn’t play our best game and I’d rather walk off that field playing the best game we can and losing. It’s frustrating.”

The Bills had appeared to take control of the game charging out in the second half with a ground-oriented eight-play drive that covered 70 yards. Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson were responsible for all but 22 of the yards as the offensive line consistently opened holes.
AND THEN EDWARDS DECIDED TO PUT THE BALLGAME INTO HIS OWN HANDS AND START RECKLESSLY THROWING SO PRESS COULD CALL HIM GREAT!

After a three-and-out by Buffalo’s offense the Dolphins took the lead with an inspired 69-yard drive.
Buffalo tried to answer, but Trent Edwards was hit as he threw on a 2nd-and-7 from the 47, sending the ball high in the air and it was picked off by Will Allen

The four-point deficit only got worse for Buffalo. In an effort to gain the first down on a 3rd-and-1 from the Dolphins 33, Trent Edwards called a quick snap and reached out to extend the ball past the first down marker, but was stripped in the process and Joey Porter recovered with just over 11 minutes left to play.
“It was a situation where we were trying to get the first down. They made a great play,” said Edwards. “I can’t reach the ball out like that. I don’t have a ton of experience with QB sneaking like that. I didn’t really feel like we had gotten the first down and I felt like I could reach out a little bit and they took it out of my hands.”
THAT’S RIGHT HE IS THE MOST OVER-RATED BY THE MEDIA QB IN THE NFL! HE COMPLETELY TURNED THIS GAME AROUND! AND HE CAN’T PLAY IN THE COLD EITHER LIKE AGAINST GIANTS AND BROWNS LAST YEAR.

Unfortunately on the next Buffalo possession backed up deep in their own territory Edwards was sacked trying to throw from his own end zone, and though Duke Preston recovered he was tackled in the end zone for a safety, which made it 22-16.
HE STOOD IN THE POCKET FOR ABOUT 60 SECONDS NEVER REALIZING EVENTUALLY HE’D BE SACKED.
