If the Tennessee Titans are going to stay undefeated tomorrow, they may need to do it without two defensive starters.
Linebacker Keith Bulluck, who has missed only one game in his career and has started 105 straight games, has a rib injury and will be a game-time decision Sunday at Chicago.
I am not worried about an individual streak,” Bulluck said, per Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean. “We have a streak going as a team — we’re 8-0 and we have to win some games.”
Bulluck said that if he plays, “I’d have to play through some pain, so I’ll definitely have to get my mind right.”
Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch is also a game-time decision. He said he’ll go through pre-game warmups and then decide whether he can play with the groin injury he suffered last month. Early indications are that Vanden Bosch is unlikely to play.

  1. There’s no reason on earth to risk further injury to these guys over an inter-conference game. Let them rest a week or two rather than having these injuries linger.

  2. It’s good logic to let them rest but this team is on a quest. The Bears have a tenuous hold on first place and will play hard but they have been very inconsistant with close losses in the closing minutes of the game. They have some injury problems as well. If Titans view them as a soft target, look for a great game.
