RAMS-JETS ONE-LINERS

The 47-3 final was the largest margin of victory in Jets franchise history. It was only the third-worst defeat in Rams history, however. Jets rookie TE Dustin Keller caught six passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Jets RB Thomas Jones ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Said Jets QB Brett Favre, “Believe me, I was hoping I didn’t get hit today. And I didn’t.” “It was embarrassing,” said Rams coach Jim Haslett. “It was bad football, bad football all the way around.” Jets LB Calvin Pace scored his first career touchdown on a 50-yard fumble recovery. A regular spot in the starting lineup is Jets S Abram Elam’s to lose after a second straight strong game. LB David Vobora, the 2008 draft’s Mr. Irrelevant, played his first NFL game for the Rams. Said Jets NT Kris Jenkins, “We’re a contender now.”
