The Atlanta Falcons have announced that the contracts of receiver Michael Jenkins and defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux have been extended.
“We’re excited and pleased to extend the contracts of Falcons players who have made significant contributions to the overall success of our football team,” said Falcons G.M.  Thomas Dimitroff.  “Michael and Jonathan are both team guys who work hard on and off the field and are both very productive on Sundays.”
Jenkins, a first-round pick in 2004, is on pace to generate the most receiving yards of his career.  He has appeared in eleven games this year, starting seven.
Babineaux, drafted in round two in 2005, has started every game this season.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed by the team.

It is remarkable how a competent quarterback can take receivers who were “disappointments” and turn them into players that the team desperately wants to keep.
Michael Vick is the most overrated/overpaid player in NFL history.

I’m happy with both of theses signings…Babs has really come on this year…and Jenkins and Ryan seem to be gel-ing quite well.
