WINSLOW UNHAPPY WITH PASS INTERFERENCE CALLS

Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow has been called for seven offensive pass interference penalties this season, and he thinks NFL officials are targeting him. “I’ve been thinking about it and thinking about it and I don’t know,” Winslow told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I can’t even play out there. They’re holding me, but I don’t have a right to get off of them. If I get off them, I get called. It’s unfair, but it might have something to do with the name."Winslow added that he’d like to say more, but he doesn’t want the NFL to fine him. “They’re going to call what they’re going to call and it’s just not fair,” he said. “Everybody tries to get open and everybody uses their hands to get open. And there’s no freedom of speech. If you do speak upon it, you get fined, so you can’t really do anything about it, which is not fair.” Browns coach Romeo Crennel said the coaching staff is working with Winslow on fending off physical coverage without extending his arms, which is usually what he’s doing when he gets flagged.
