COWBOYS CHRISTEN THE “GOOD SHIP LOLLIPOP”

Though it won’t topple “Do you believe in miracles? . . . . Yes!” as the best line of Al Michaels’ broadcasting career, his declaration that the Dallas Cowboys are the “good ship lollipop,” based on images of unlikely camaraderie during Sunday night’s game against the Giants ranks in Al’s top five. It truly is amazing what a critical win in a key game can do to lift the thick fog of controversy. At one point, Tony Romo and Jason Witten and Terrell Owens could be seen yukking it up on the sidelines. It’s like Batman and Robin and the Joker hanging out on Christmas Eve. So the Cowboys will live to play another day, six nights from now when the Ravens will help them close out Texas Stadium.
