BILLS-BRONCOS ONE-LINERS

Bills DB Reggie Corner knocked a fourth down pass to Broncos WR Brandon Stokley to the turf with 39 seconds to play to guarantee victory. Said Stokley, "(I) had my hands on the last one, I should have caught it, that’s really all I can say about it - get my hands on it, got to come back down with the touchdown. That’s the plays I’ve got to make, that’s why they pay me, to make those plays.” Said Broncos G Chris Kuper, “They’re very talented. They’ve got a good offense, a good defense. And our end, we need to finish games and close it out. We had two games to get one win and couldn’t do it. We need to come in there and battle that last game.” Broncos QB Jay Cutler set team records for yards and completions, but was intercepted on the goal line by Bills LB Kawika Mitchell in the fourth quarter. The Broncos outgained the Bills 532-275 for the game. Leading 13-3, the Broncos tried a 54-yard field goal that K Matt Prater missed, setting the Bills up for a touchdown just before halftime. After the game, the Bills dedicated the victory to coach Dick Jauron. Bills RB Fred Jackson, filling in for injured RB Marshawn Lynch, set up one fourth quarter touchdown with a 65-yard catch and scored another on an eight-yard run. Broncos CB Champ Bailey played for the first time since October 20th and had the team’s only sack. Said Bills S George Wilson, “Our goal was not to let them have a celebrating locker room on us. We were eliminated last week, and we didn’t want them to beat us and propel themselves into the playoffs.”
