ZYGMUNT OFFICIALLY OUT IN ST. LOUIS

Well, it’s official.  Rams G.M. and president of football operations Jay Zygmunt has resigned his employment with the Rams.
The news comes from various media outlets.  Amazingly, however, none of them credited Jay Glazer of FOX for breaking the story on Sunday that Zygmunt would be out by Tuesday.
Of course, no one credited us with reporting that Zygmunt officially was gone as of early Monday afternoon.  But we’re used to being publicly ignored by the same folks who are constantly trolling this domain for starting points and story ideas.
In Glazer’s case, he put the news out there for the world to see and hear at 12:05 p.m. EST on Sunday, and it largely was ignored as the events came to fruition on Monday.
From our perspective, we don’t care who does and doesn’t break stories.  But it’s just wrong when someone breaks a story and others then pretend that it never happened.

Add 1 to the Glazer total.

    Yup, point for Glazer.

Shut. Up. No one cares if Glazer doesn’t get credit, everyone only cares about Rob Parker getting fired for teasing everyone’s sudden darling boy Rod Maresmelli.

    Cue Floyd Reese in 3… 2… 1

No offense, but local media, particularly Bernie Miklasz has been reporting this for weeks…months really. Since week 4.
If you want to give credit where credit is due, how about a shout out to a real jouralist.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch got the ball rolling this morning at 9:18 CT before you did. Secondly, as an earlier poster noted, Bernie Miklasz of the same paper has reported on both his radio show and in his paper that Zygmunt has been relegated to his job in name only and would be gone by season’s end.
    No points.

    TrollingDomainsForIdeas: 5 points.
    Nice work.

This has been reported for awhile by people at the Post Dispatch. Neither Jay Glazer or PFT had any groundbreaking news.
Just because a national media member reports it doesn’t mean that they’re the first to know.
I think that PFT should edit this entry to give the credit where it is really due

“we don’t care who does and doesn’t break stories”…..yeah right, then quit crying about…act like ya got a pair…I don’t see Glazer shedding tears over it…PFT is the best site on the web for any info on the NFL and anyone who follows the game knows it…starting to sound like Kanye West at an awards show…from the Yahoo-“Every time the rapper gets onstage at some awards show and accepts one statue by claiming he should have won another one”

“We” don’t, do we? Half the text on this site is about media, griping about media, dissing members of the media, sniping and gossiping about the media. The Rams are just one of several teams with important, interesting stories that Florio is just in the dark about (or as he would put it, “about which he is in the dark”)
