TUESDAY MORNING ONE-PER-CLUB ONE-LINERS

The Dolphins expect to turn to the Wildcat against the Ravens. Bills LB Angelo Crowell is scheduled to become a free agent, but he says he hopes to return. Said Jets OT Damien Woody of QB Brett Favre, “When he got here, we had to change everything. We were doing things on the fly for a long time. In the end, it caught up with us. Thirty-nine years old, playing in the NFL ... I’m sure he wore down.” Tom Brady’s health is the biggest question facing the Patriots this off-season. Cowboys CB Terence Newman didn’t name names, but he did say someone in the locker room is a coward. According to one report card, the Giants managed to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC without anyone earning a grade of ‘A.’ Eagles DB Joselio Hanson said his 96-yard fumble return for a touchdown was simple: “I just ran straight.” Looking back on the Redskins’ season, trading for DE Jason Taylor didn’t accomplish much. Says Vikings P Chris Kluwe, “When I come in, it’s pretty much a signal for everybody to get up, grab a beer and go to the bathroom. But that’s the life of an NFL punter, I guess.” Packers WR Greg Jennings would like a new contract, but he’s not going to be a drama queen about it. Bears DT Tommie Harris says he just needs to get healthy, and he’ll be a force in 2009. Says Lions QB Dan Orlovsky, “I don’t think there is a doubt in a lot of people’s minds with the situation this year. I think I have done enough to prove I can be a high-level starter.” The Ravens say this season has prepared them for anything. Bengals WR Chris Henry promises to stay out of trouble this off-season. Says Browns QB Brady Quinn, “This is one of the most unlucky years I’ve ever seen.” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said results from QB Ben Roethlisberger’s tests were “negative, which is positive.” Falcons S Lawyer Milloy is questionable for Saturday’s game with a back injury. Steve Smith might just be the best Panther ever. The Buccaneers head into the off-season with a lot of issues to address. The Saints need to upgrade their secondary. Texans coach Gary Kubiak handed off play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. Colts QB Peyton Manning said he started to have swelling in his knee at the Pro Bowl, and it plagued him throughout the off-season. Jaguars QB David Garrard says he’s going to become a more vocal leader: “If I see something that’s out of place, I will say something about it. Sometimes, it calls for a confrontation. Not fisticuffs, but sometimes you have to approach somebody. If I have to talk to somebody, I definitely will.” Titans S Chris Hope says, “We’re 0-0. There are no records, no Pro Bowls, none of that. It’s an elimination tournament now, and winning no matter who we play against is the focus.’' The Chargers say they’re not satisfied with just winning the AFC West. Broncos WR Brandon Marshall promises to cut down on dropped passes. Raiders P Shane Lechler may have played his last game in Oakland. Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez was honored as the team MVP. Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt says his team needs to learn to have a playoff mentality. The players on the Rams are bracing for big changes. At 4-12, the Seahawks just finished their worst season since going 2-14 in 1992. The first step in the 49ers’ offseason will be to choose a quarterback.
