GARRETT ADDRESSES T.O. SITUATION

Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who appeared three days ago to be as much of a lock to become the next head coach of the Rams as Jon Gruden was to continue as head coach of the Bucs (oops), was asked on Monday about receiver Terrell Owens. His response will do nothing to kill rumors of a rift between the two men. “I certainly have a lot of respect for him as a player,” Garrett said, according to Tim MacMahon of the Dallas Morning News. “And we’ll just leave it at that.” Per MacMahon (who moonlights at a far less reputable news organization), Garrett ended the interview at that point.
