RAVENS-STEELERS ONE-LINERS

Said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, “We’ve got a special group in there. I told that group we have miles to go before we sleep. A little Robert Frost.” Ravens QB Joe Flacco folded under Steelers pressure, completing 13-of-30 passes for 141 yards and throwing three interceptions. His second interception was the gamebreaker as Steelers S Troy Polamalu returned it for a 40-yard touchdown that made the score 23-14 with 4:34 left to play. Said Flacco, “I think Troy was able to read my eyes. He was able to jump over there and make a play. I didn’t see him over there until I was on the ground.” Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger dodged the Ravens blitz and floated a pass to WR Santonio Holmes that resulted in a 65-yard touchdown. Said Roethlisberger, “It’s hard for a guy to cover for a long time. We played backyard football at times.” Ravens LB Terrell Suggs, whatever the severity of his shoulder injury, played a strong game and sacked Roethlisberger twice. Steelers WR Limas Sweed dropped a sure touchdown pass late in the first half. Ravens RB Willis McGahee had 60 yards on 20 carries and both his team’s touchdowns before leaving with a concussion. While the Steelers offense went through slow periods, their defense never wavered.
