LIONS LOOKING FOR AN OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

With a head coach having a defensive background hired, the first challenge facing the new regime is to put in place a solid and capable man to run the offense. Per Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Lions and new coach Jim Schwartz have commenced the process of hiring an offensive coordinator. The first candidate is former Broncos receivers coach Jedd Fisch. Per Schefter, Fisch was interviewed on Monday. Another possible candidate is Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Though there has been at least one report that the son of Marty will stay in New York on the staff of the son of Buddy Ryan, Schottenheimer’s status with the Jets could be up in the air.
