TURD WATCH II CLOSES OUT WITH A FINAL ARREST

Our annual “Turd Watch” game ends each year on the Monday after the Super Bowl. We’ve picked that day because we assume there’s a chance that an NFL player (or an employee of an NFL team) might find his or her way into trouble in the early morning hours after the Super Bowl. And so the second year of our NFL social experiment has ended with one more guy getting busted. Chargers defensive tackle Jamal Williams was arrested early Monday on suspicion of DUI. He allegedly was speeding on Interstate 94 in his Bentley. Williams gave a blood sample. The extent of any alcohol concentration isn’t known. News of the arrest comes only hours after the “Days without an Arrest” meter had crept back into double digits.
