DOLPHINS’ LONG: “I FEEL FINE”

Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jake Long isn’t concerned about a right ankle injury incurred during the Pro Bowl, according to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. Long got hurt late in the second half while blocking Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware and didn’t return to the game, but wrote on the team Web site on his Dolphins postcard blog: “I got my ankle rolled up, but it is nothing. I feel fine.” This is the same ankle Long hurt in November against the New England Patriots. Long was an injury replacement on the AFC Pro Bowl roster for Buffalo Bills tackle Jason Peters. Drafted first overall out of Michigan, Long was an immediate starter for the Dolphins. “It really has been an unbelievable season for me,” Long wrote. “To start my career a the top overall pick in the draft and then to end my first season in the Pro Bowl, I have been truly blessed. I landed in a great situation in Miami and to make the playoffs in my first year is really hard to describe. This season has really exceeded my expectations.”
