NINERS BOUNCE BANTA-CAIN

With coach Mike Singletary now in charge of the 53-man roster, Singletary has begun to wield his power. It’s unknown whether he did so with pants down or up. Gone are linebacker Tully Banta-Cain and safety Keith Lewis, according to David White of the San Francisco Chronicle. Banta-Cain signed as a free agent in early 2007, coming to San Fran from New England. The moves create a total of $3.475 million in cap space. Per White, tackle Jonas Jennings also could be sent packing, too.
