Free-agent cornerback Philip Buchanon has made clear his desire to play for new head coach Raheem Morris, Buchanon’s former position coach in Tampa.
But the cap-rich Bucs have yet to get the one-time first-rounder re-signed, and so he’s looking around.
A league source tells us that, on Monday night, Buchanon will arrive in Detroit for a visit.
Buchanon was drafted by the Raiders in 2002.  Regarded after three seasons as a semi-bust, he landed in Houston and then in Tampa.
In 2008, Buchanon started 16 games for the first time in his career.

Well, we’re not signing anyone else, why not sign our own at least.

He can’t possibly have a negative impact on Detroit’s won/loss record.

Not a bad idea by the Bucs to let him find out his market value. I think he’s been good for us, but I wouldn’t want to break the bank for him.

The Lions should change their nickname to the Hamsters. They just run in the wheel and go nowhere. Gotta suck to see the Chiefs get Cassel and keep their pick at #3. Sure it was a prearranged deal done with a wink and a nod to the League office, but still blows for Detroit. And to think people here complain about Dan Snyder…………………..ha.
