Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has joined the Seattle Seahawks, agreeing to a five-year, $40 million contract that included $15 million in guaranteed money, according to John Clayton and Michael Smith of ESPN.com Adam Schefter of NFL Network also reported that Houshmandzadeh is a Seahawk, citing the same financial figures. Houshmandzadeh flew to Los Angeles earlier today to mull over his options, ultimately picking the Seahawks over the Bengals and the Minnesota Vikings. After catching passes from Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, now Houshmandzadeh will be on the receiving end of Matt Hasselbeck’s throws. Houshmandzadeh led the NFL in receptions with 112 in 2007 as he made the Pro Bowl. Over the past two seasons, he caught a total of 204 passes for 2,043 yards and 16 touchdowns.
