NFL REVEALS FULL DRAFT ORDER

The round-by-round slate of picks in the April draft recently was announced by the NFL.
The current order of selections, which can be seen right here, does not include the compensatory picks.
(Actually, it can be seen right here, not right there.  And for all you folks who complained about the error in the comments, I’ve got a refund for you . . . right here.)
At some point before the draft, the league will release the compensatory picks, which are based on free agency losses from the prior year.
The compensatory picks begin at the end of round three.

Eagles have a whole lot of picks this year, and given their free agency losses this year, they’ll have a lot next year, too.

First comment I have tried to post in probably twelve to eighteen hours and I get that “posting comments too fast” page coming up?
I hope that gets straightened out. I know it is happening to other people. The fact that we lose the comment that we are trying to post just makes it worse.
BTW, your draft order does not list compensatory picks. Are they announced at a later date?
Cue all of the whining because the Chargers are drafting so high, given that they have made the playoffs and others teams who did not make the playoffs, such as the Jets, draft behind the Chargers.

Can’t take a little criticism? You ought to get thicker skin if you are going to put yourself out on the internet. Or, you know, proof read your stories.

    I don’t believe this is 100% accurate.
NE’s 5th round pick belongs to Philly courtesy of the Greg Lewis trade.

how did the rams and chiefs switch places in the second round? am i not aware of a trade or something? florio, you let me down here, i count on you to keep me informed. what gives?

  21. Kevin from Philly says: Mar 9, 2009 11:53 AM

Real Dave is correct – I had read last week that Philly had five picks in the fifth round. WTF?
P.S. Favrewill play – I think they had similar records so the order was decided by a coin toss. They probably reversed the order in the second. Check to see if they keep switching.

oh, the refund must be right there too, eh, mr. vandelay?

    WORST NFL RULE!!
Sure the Chargers pick lower and are rewarded for their failure. BUT, the Chargers pick AHEAD of the 2nd place Denver Broncos for 5 of the 7 rounds in this draft. What a joke!

What part of “does not include the compensatory picks” do you people not understand.

“Real Dave is correct – I had read last week that Philly had five picks in the fifth round. WTF?”
Close, they have 4. Their own, the Browns (they gave the Eagles an ’08 6th for Hank Fraley, the Eagles traded it back to them last year for an ’09 5th), the Jets (Lito) and the Pats (Glew)

Cool, now I can PDF it and create my monster full seven round mock draft!
    (I’m actually being serious….)
