BRONCOS: CUTLER CALL ENDED POSITIVELY

The Denver Broncos and disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler have vastly different takes on the nature of their conference call Monday, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, who sheds new light on the Broncos’ perspective on the dialogue. Relating information from a source close to the team, the Broncos are saying the call was “nonconfrontational” with discussions of a future trade never being broached. The call included Cutler and his agent, Bus Cook, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, coach Josh McDaniels, General Manager Brian Xanders and chief operating officer Joe Ellis. However, a source close to Cutler said the quarterback came away from the call thinking that he could still be traded prior to the draft and said that the call didn’t go well. McDaniels supposedly stated again to Cutler that any player can be traded. So, the drama in Denver continues.
