The St. Louis Rams announced today that they have cut veteran blocking tight end Anthony Becht.
According to NFL.com, Becht started 11 games last season for the Rams. He caught six passes for 39 yards.
The former New York Jets’ first-round draft pickĀ from West Virginia has caught 178 career passes for 1,450 yards and 20 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons.
In the playoffs, Becht has caught 10 passes for 76 yards with one score.
In 2003 with the Jets, Becht registered a career-high 40 receptions for 356 yards with four touchdowns.
