ROY WILLIAMS VISITING CINCINNATI

Nearly two weeks ago, safety Roy Williams was cut by the Cowboys.
He’s now making his first official stop as a free agent.
According to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News, Williams will be visiting Cincinnati on Thursday.
Williams’ agent, Jordan Woy, told Archer that the five-time Pro Bowler has turned down one offer and he has two more possible visits lined up.
In Cincinnati, Williams would be reunited with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, for whom Williams played from 2002 through 2006.
Earlier this month, the Bengals cut veteran safety Dexter Jackson, the MVP of Super Bowl XXXVII.

  1. Holy crap, he turned down 3 opportunities to go to the Bengals? Does the NFL still drug test him?

  2. Dear Roy Williams,
Mike Brown will lowball you, laugh in your face and say he does not need you. This is true, but yet.. Even with your terrible passing coverage, that is worse than an Adam Archuleta Redskins contract, I still want you here, I think of you as an upgrade over Mike Doss.

  3. the Bengals are the only team with worse behavior than the Cowboys..He will be right at home with this new group of felons that cant win..The only difference is no one expects the bengals to win.

  4. Pfitz get with the times Broncos,Jaguars and Buccaneers are much worse =P bengals havn’t had any real trouble for 2 years now…. get over 2006 season it’s over it’s done with get new jokes.

  5. i think this will be a good move for roy he’s a 4-3 safety and i wish him the best of luck

Hines is just gonna destroy the bengals, like he has done throughout his WHOLE career

  7. Safety is one spot where Cinci doesn’t NEED help! Crocker, White Ndukuwe, and Hebert are young and playing well. Go get a FB and a Center. The Defense will be fine again, and hopefully even better if they stay away from injury this year.

  8. Hey, pfitz, the Bengals haven’t had any serious disciplinary problems in a long time. Quit the tired comments, they are old and outdated.
Roy Williams probably wants to work with Mike Zimmer again. Because of Zimmer the Bengals defense improved from almost last in the NFL to 12th last year.

  9. The Bengals Suck. Every year is supposed to be their “break out year”. I would be more surprised if they finished with a winning record then I would If they went win less.

  10. No he wont sign with the Browns, he got out of Dallas because he doesnt want to play in a 3-4. Probably the reason why he turned down two other vists also, because the teams probably played 3-4 defences. As a Bengals fan im not sure we need him, but some extra depth is nice, he could be useful at the right price.

  11. roy “i can’t cover you” williams is always good for espn highlight showing us how to stay five yards behind the guy with the ball in the endzone…good luck cincy fans

  12. “the Bengals are the only team with worse behavior than the Cowboys”
Yeah, you don’t want to count any of the teams that curently employ somebody that has killed someone else.
“He will be right at home with this new group of felons that cant win. The only difference is no one expects the bengals to win. ”
The Cowboys have had 4 winning seasons in a row. The only other teams that can make that claim are the Colts and Patriots. Try not to be such a clueless dumbass, if you can help it.

  13. Roy Williams to Cincy? This must be part of the Ravens development plan to build Joe Flacco into a better QB.

  14. No one expects the Bengals to win which is exactly why we will. No one expected us in 2005 did they? No more arrest problems, our D is looking sick, and Hines Ward couldnt do S**t against us in 05 either, so Roy WIlliams can come to a team that on its way up not down like the cowgirls.
Keep sleepin on the bengals…You and everyone else will taste it next year.

  15. Indyaudioguy…
    You forgot Lynch.
This move makes no sense for the Bengals.
Ndukwe and Crocker are solid players.

  16. @ indyaudioguy…
Wow, when the first safety you mention is Chris Crocker, you know you’re in trouble

LOLLOLLOL, spoken like a true bungals fan. They are the worst run franchise in sports. Mike Brown will never put a winning team on the field. But morons like you will keep buyin tickets as long as they go 8-8 everyother year. Palmer will be gone the 1st chance he gets, then it’s back to 3 win seasons. LOLLOLLOL

  18. Ohio Titan.
Worst franchise huh? I think we have been to the superbowl more than your oilers and titans combined. We put a winning team on the field in 05 didnt we? Not 8-8 but 10-5 and would have stopped the Steelers the year they won the SB w/out Palmer going down. Are you eating crow or just another victim sleeping on the Bengals. Brandon Jacobs warned Coles last year about us, and that was last year! You think its a big joke. I think the titans fall from grace next year will be the big joke. You watch.

  19. We will be a good team next year if we fix the O-line. I also find it funny Ohio Titan calls Bengals fans morons for buying season tickets. Not too long ago people called us season ticket holders and fans band wagoners. But now we are morons. Funny.

  20. CincyKid:
You spell like a Steelers fan.
    ———————————————————-
    HAHAHAHAHAHA
Steelers fans are the Rednecks of the North East.

  21. And Vox Veritas:
The Patriots and Colts have won Super Bowls, the Cowboys on the other hand have not won a playoff game in 12 YEARS!
    STUPID ARGUMENT VOX!!!
