Rams Put No. 2 Pick Up For Sale

Well, maybe if the Lions pass on the first overall pick, the Rams will let it go, too. Because it sure sounds like the Rams really want to trade out of the second overall slot in round one. “Yeah, in the position we’re in, we’ll consider everything,” G.M. Billy Devaney said, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “It’s a little early. We kind of play with scenarios in our mind right now. But we haven’t gotten down to the nitty-gritty, if you will, to say: ‘OK, how far back would we trade?’” Possible translation: “Please, please, please. Someone, anyone. Make us an offer.” The Rams likely are interested in trading down for two reasons. First, the Seahawks are widely believed to be targeting a quarterback with the fourth overall pick, so someone picking below the Seahawks might want to try to leapfrog them. Second, the Broncos might be looking to paste together the No. 12 and No. 18 overall picks in an effort to get in position to take a guy who would replace Jay Cutler.
