The Detroit Lions have announced that they’ll unveil their new logo and uniforms next week.
The announcement will be made at a Dunham’s Sports store in Madison Heights, Michigan.
The event might have generated more excitement if the new logo hadn’t been unveiled several weeks ago when it appeared on NFLShop.com on a toy tractor-trailer. Not long thereafter, images of the new uniforms surfaced.

The 49ers will be unveiling their new uniforms at their draft party on draft day.
It should be the Robo-maid from Spaceballs because they manage to suck and blow at the same time.
Their logo should be a steaming pile of Lion dung and their uniform color should be fece brown

It’s going to be a giant John Kitna Head I mean Daunte head, I mean Bubby Brister, no wait I got it Geoff George. Hell just make your new logo Ted Nugent’s head at least you’ll sell tickets to the games, and some shirts n stuff.
Maybe it should be a picture of Calvin Johnson being quadruple-covered while a wobbling duck of a pass is falling 20 yards in front of him.

I grew up in Detroit and have none for years that are going to change the lion to a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. The leauge has forced them to change it to kitten and not a mean aggressive kitten, but the a raging woose of kitten, like the one a young girls trapper keeper.

I understand that the new logo will be that of the Cowardly Lion, from Wizard of Oz.
It’s nice to see a team embrace an image that truly represents the team and organization.

Found the new designs on the web….they’ve changed so little that they really can’t call them new uniforms. They changed the striping on the pants, add a few lines to the logo, and gone to a slightly darker blue. Big freaking deal. So lame. Poor Lions fans.

Wow — Florio must love all of this hatorade.
On the Lions store website, they briefly had a mini-jersey for pets. The colors resembled the sort of purplish jersey that Florio showed on this site a few weeks back. I think the colors will change to add that purple.
One thing is for certain, if you want to find bigger losers than the Lions … just look on the Internet for the fatass neverweres posting comments.
