Bengals Bring Back Jeremi Johnson

A league source tells us that the Bengals will be re-signing veteran fullback Jeremi Johnson.
Through the first five seasons of his career, the six-year veteran appeared in every game, with 50 starts.
Johnson missed all of 2008 with a knee injury, and was actually waived with an injury settlement in late November.
Primarily a blocker, he actually has more career yards receiving (269) than rushing (141).
He joined the team in 2003, as a fourth-round draft pick.
More importantly, with receiver Chad Johnson now officially known as Chad Ochocinco, Jeremi’s return helps to replenish the team’s supply of Johnsons.

There are plenty of “johnsons” on that team, if you consider what it is slang for.

Jeremi Johnson is another guy who takes his NFL opportunities for granted. He made a Pro-Bowl, got a big contract and subsequently ballooned to 300 pounds.

Sometimes you only report stories so you can use a punchline.

Wven if they didn’t re-sign him. They are still full of “Johnsons”.

Seems the Bengals always come up short on their Johnsons.

    Is he still 400 lbs?

As Perez Hilton will tell you, you can never have too many Johnsons. You need a couple of Johnsons that will get right up in your face and let you know they mean business.
Jeremi is a good Johnson. He can hit the hole or he can be a catcher. Let’s just hope that this Johnson is too big… He has a problem with swelling up to an uncomfortable size.

Oh thank god, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out where the Bungals can replenish it’s Johnson quota in the draft. Now they don’t have to worry about it and can go out and just pick the best convict, I mean player available.

Now I know the bengals are going to draft Andre Smith. What better role model for a supposedly out of shape lineman than a fullback who shows up every year out of shape and plays his way into shape during the regular season.
    Here we go again……

Maybe the Bengals should go after Vince Young too. Considering his troubled past and shirtless Tijuana parties, the Bengals could maintain there thuggish attitude and replenish the team’s supply of Johnsons…not that there’s anything wrong with that.

mike brown needs as many johnsons within arms reach as possible, at all times.

OMG! This guy is a great blocker when not overdosing on Baby Ruth’s. Does anyone know how much he weighs now? They had him running up hills at Georgetown just so he’d lose some weight. I still hope we draft a fullback. There has to be some Fiji or Samoan guy out there with an unpronouncable name that can help us at fullback. Please, please don’t pull any bonehead picks tomorrow and embarass us!

Not the Jeremi saga again! Every year he comes to camp so overweight that he’s not really in shape until midseason! I thought they had parted ways with him for good. He has a poor work ethic.
