Seahawks Looking Sanchez?

News flash: The Seahawks will draft quarterback Mark Sanchez. Or they won’t. There are two schools of thought regarding this issue. One theory is that the Seahawks want Sanchez. This concept is being fueled by evidence that Seahawks president Tim Ruskell is desperately trying to find out whether anyone will be trading up to the No. 3 spot held by the Chiefs. But one industry source recently told us that the Seahawks have decided that taking Sanchez would be the equivalent of telling the locker room that the team is rebuilding, and that the decision has been made to address immediate needs during the last few productive years of Matt Hasselbeck’s career. The best fit, in our view, would be linebacker Aaron Curry, who would take the spot vacated when Julian Peterson was shipped to Detroit. But Curry might not be available at No. 4. And, frankly, Ruskell might be looking into whether the Chiefs are trading out of the three hole in the hopes that they do, that someone else picks Sanchez, and that Curry slips through to No. 4.
