Browns Add 14

On the same morning that the team previously coached by Eric Mangini unveiled 17 undrafted free agents, Mangini’s new team rolled out 14 new players signed to contracts after the draft ended. The newest Browns are: Marcus Benard, LB, Jackson State; Corey Boudreaux, DB, San Diego State; Branndon Braxton, OL, Oklahoma; Brent Casteel, WR, Utah; Marlon Davis, OL, Alabama; Jonathan Foster, LB, Central State; Adam Hoppel, DL, Cincinnati; Phillip Hunt, LB, Houston; Mike Massey, TE, Michigan; Nate Ness, DB, Arizona; Jordan Norwood, WR, Penn State; Antonio Smith, DB, Bowling Green; Jason Venson, DB, Central Florida; Bryan Williams, DB, Akron. The Browns conduct a rookie minicamp this weekend. Former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell has been invited to participate. And Harrell’s former college coach, Mike Leach, has given Harrell a gift to be delivered to Mangini. Leach has placed the gift in a bag, and Harrell has been instructed to place the bag outside the door to Mangini’s office, to light the bag on fire, and then to knock on the door.
