A Favre Was In Green Bay, After All

As it turns out, the plane that flew earlier today from Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Green Bay included a passenger named Favre.
But not Brett Favre.  It was Mrs. Brett Favre.
According to Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Deanna Favre spent a few hours in Wisconsin on Tuesday morning, but for unknown reasons.
As Bedard points out, she has close friends and business/charitable interests in Green Bay.
Or maybe she was delivering a package from Brett to Ted Thompson.  (Yeah, it never gets old.)

Perhaps she was there to work-out for the Packers.

People who play DUNGEONS & DRAGONS and obsess over getting that Magic Wand with a +2 for lightning still aren’t such losers as people who obsess about all the daily comings and goings of a football player.

  6. raiderguy10 says: May 5, 2009 2:11 PM

Dude, seriously….this whole Brett Favre crap is getting old. Do we really have to do this all offseason again? Quit giving him attention…maybe he’ll finally go away for good.

Must be nice to have no responsibilites in life and the ability to set up “business/charitable interests” on your spouse’s dime. Kinda like how Paul McCartney’s ex-wife spent millions of Paul’s dollars making herself look charitable.

  10. desertscrub says: May 5, 2009 2:22 PM

    smokescreen.
Why would a reporter from the JS go (WAY) out of his way to report that Mrs. Brett Favre was on a plane. What next? When we he begin covering what Mrs. Mike McCarthy buys at the grocery store? I smell something stinky and for once it is not florio’s cooch!

  11. NDCowboysfan says: May 5, 2009 2:22 PM

    NOBODY CARES!

  12. mgBleedsGreen says: May 5, 2009 2:26 PM

For God’s sake, will T.O. do something T.O.-like already – anything to replace stories about flight plans between Hattiesburg and Green Bay.
What will be news next? Favre was seen at the Piggly Wiggly buying cheese from Vermont, NOT Wisconsin – what could that mean? is he considering a fielding an NFL expansion team in Montpelier? or Burlington?

  13. Revacard says: May 5, 2009 2:32 PM

This post probably secured Florio as the next Pulitzer Prize winner. Keep at it!

  14. myasylum says: May 5, 2009 2:33 PM

Don’t forget the plane that went to Minnesota too! I wonder if that had a Favre in it as well! :p

“Packer fans are crapping down their legs at the thought of Favre becoming a Viking….”
You just going to keep repeating yourself in every single Packer or Viking related thread?

  16. Pea Tear Griffin says: May 5, 2009 2:42 PM

    @ICes12
First you made a ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ reference, then you called people that obsess over football players losers on a PRO FOOTBALL WEBSITE.
So you’re basically admitting to that giant ‘L’ under your bangs?

Packer fans are crapping down their legs at the thought of Favre becoming a Viking….
They’re about as gay as their loser of a GM (Mr. 31-33), Ted Thompson…
    Aaron Rodgers sucks..by the way.
    —————————————
The Vikings would take a step back with Favre at the helm. The guy isn’t good anymore. He hasn’t been anything but average for the last 4 years, and hasn’t had a decent playoff game (except for against Seattle after the ’07 season) in a decade. He’s done.
He hasn’t had a 2-1 TD/INT ratio since ’01. Before that, you need to go back to the mid-90s for his last good stretch. He hasn’t led the league in anything but attempts and INTs in the last 4 years. He hasn’t led in TDs since ’03, in yards since ’98 (which is 10 years ago, by the way).

  19. desertscrub says: May 5, 2009 2:48 PM

yes, master bates – you are correct in all regards. I have heard A-Rod be called a ‘pro-bowl’ caliber QB – um, this just in but PB caliber QB’s lead teams, lead comeback and dont crap their pants in the 4th quarter.
As for Favre. the packer fans just can never appreciate what they have or had. Favre brought that franchise back from the dead, back from nothing, back from 1 or 2 playoff appearances in 20+ years. Back to an annual contender. he is and always will be one of the top ten to EVER play the game. I dont care if he is 40,30 or 20, TThompson could never appreciate him.

  20. Garret says: May 5, 2009 2:49 PM

“Wow, how low can we go with this ridiculous Favre crap?”
WE being the operative word. Anyone chiming in on how tired they are of this…IS PARTICAPATING!
I personally never get tired of it…epsecially when Florio can shoehorn in one of those Jack link ads.

  21. JimmySmith says: May 5, 2009 2:50 PM

I think anything Brett Favre says or does is fair game, personally, it gets creepy when it appears like you are stalking his wife. Let her be, she’s not the attention whore, she hasn’t done anything to deserve this level of scrunity.

  22. DFeez says: May 5, 2009 2:58 PM

    “Aaron Rodgers sucks”
    Sincerely,
Not a big NFL fan, haven’t heard his name that much, and he wasn’t in the Super Bowl.
    Idiot.
Ask the 9’ers if they think Aaron Rodgers sucks.
Ask Thomas Jones if he thinks Aaron Rodgers sucks.
Ah yes, thats right, you must first develop an addiction to perscription pills and lead the history of the NFL in interceptions to become likable.
I remember Brett’s last playoff pass, do you?
    I hate you all.

  23. DScorp2009 says: May 5, 2009 3:07 PM

I agree w/ btreese: “who cares?”.
I know it’s the offseason but I KNOW!! there are better NFL topics than this. I’m about as played out as I can be w/ this Favre/Packers thing. Really w/ the Favre thing period.
How does this compare w/ Congress pushing for a college football playoff system?
    Not even close.
I’m one who wants it to happen. Sports is a huge money maker in this country and all revenue would help.
Please leave the Favres alone already!

  24. xskippzx says: May 5, 2009 3:14 PM

If it wasn’t for Deanna, Brett would be a whole lot worse than he is and he definitely would have donked himself out of the league a long time ago. She’s probably one of the most genuinely nice women you’ll ever meet. She’s nowhere near Paul McCartney’s ex. Terrible comparison. I guess it just goes to show you, that if you don’t have the first clue about a person, then you’ll always spout out bullcrap.

  27. CaptainFantastik says: May 5, 2009 4:16 PM

    bshazzar,
That’s interesting given you’ve probably never met Deanna or Ex-Mrs. McCartney. Favre admitted at the end of the year that it was Deanna who told him all year that he had to win more games and put up better numbers than Rodgers. That is straight out of Favre’s mouth. Sounds to me that the “charitable” Mrs. favre is a cross between McCartney’s ex and Cap Rooney’s wife from Any Given Sunday.

  28. Master Bates says: May 5, 2009 4:20 PM

Spoken like a true, FudgePacking loser, DFeez….
Jeff George had good stats too, but couldn’t win sh*t…
You Ted Thompson lovers must have lost your minds in GB…
Since when does Mr. 31-33 (Thompson) and Mr. 6-10 (Rodgers) equal success…Sounds (and looks) very mediocre to me…
In your delusional state, you forgot to mention that Favre leads the NFL in Wins, TDs, and Passing Yardage, but that wouldn’t fit your argument and penchant for supporting LOSERS (Thompson and Rodgers)
I remember that Driver and Favre were the only ones to show up in that playoff game against the Giants, do you, idiot? (Not to mention that Favre was 14-3 that year…skeezix!)

  29. CaptainFantastik says: May 5, 2009 4:21 PM

“I have heard A-Rod be called a ‘pro-bowl’ caliber QB – um, this just in but PB caliber QB’s lead teams, lead comeback and dont crap their pants in the 4th quarter.”
    ————————————————————————————-
The Packers defense gave up 6 late 4th quarter leads that Rodgers helped gain for his club. That’s the difference between 6-10 and 12-4. Rodgers’ numbers blow Favre’s out of the water.
As for Pro Bowl QB’s, they also don’t singlehandedly cost their team the post-season on costly INTs (like Favre did)……….nor do they lead the league in INT’s (like Favre did).

  30. Master Bates says: May 5, 2009 4:24 PM

Aaron Rodgers (AROD) can’t read defenses, holds onto the ball too long, and craps down his leg and runs when TT’s crappy offensive line breaks down when Favre would have made a completion long before…
Fave it….Rodgers is another Tedford project that is going to wash out of the NFL…In other words…HE SUCKS….Just like Ted Thompson does…

  31. ShimSham says: May 5, 2009 4:24 PM

“and dont crap their pants in the 4th quarter.”
Packers actually lead the league in points scored in the 4th quarter, and you can’t really argue that those “were just garbage points” considering every game came down to the final seconds or overtime and 7 out of 10 losses were decided by 4 points or less.

she was probably in town to attend a board meeting at a local bank— she was given a board seat by some suckasses at a local bank for throwing their millions into it.
and she is one of the main reason for his scorn on the Packers, they are both immature people that get made out to be these great philanthropists because they can give away money people gave to their foundations, millions and millions and they struggle to even to be able to smart enough to give away.

I’m sorry genuinely nice people don’t bail on charity events that they promised to do. Because she and her husband are tired and need time off (LIARS) then cause a lot of commotion so the great one can ressurect his career( Bretteney and Obama must have big fights debating who is God and who is Jesus) just a month or so later.
Does she really think people would have bought her book (throw Bretteny’s mom on that list too) if she wasn’t Mrs.Favre. Listen you put up with all of Bretteney’s infidelities and addictions because you knew what a Gravy train he was and I bet your just trying to squeeze out another 6.5 million from him.
I bet old Irv is spinning so fast that the low pressure system created
is going to bring hurricane season early this year
Bretteney and Deanna should be ashamed
    As for Master Bates
There was a butt pirate named Bates
Who danced a fandango on skates
    He fell on his cutlass
    Which rendered him nutless
    And pratically useless on dates
You can see Bates every night on Hennepin Ave he’s the one with the suprised look on his face and the 55 gallon of lube with his going rate of 50 cents painted on it’s side and crap running down his legs

well, you’re half right. I’ve neve met McCartney’s ex. I live in Hattiesburg, MS and work with the area high school athletes. Favre was throwing to some of my high schoolers last year. Maybe you saw the footage on ESPN. Deanna does charity events, especially for women and cancer all year long here. As for your quote, what the heck? There’s nothing in that quote that supports any off-base, no true information having, poor excuse for any opinion you’ve chosen to put forward.
