Report: Childress To Meet With Favre Tonight

Gas up the private jet, Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress is headed south. Specifically, Childress is expected to travel to Mississippi tonight for a dinner meeting with veteran quarterback Brett Favre, according to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Per the report, this is the get-acquainted part of the process with the “in-depth” part set for Thursday as the Vikings will want to delve into several details before moving forward with Favre. Those discussions will likely include lots of questions about his health as Favre is recovering from a damaged right biceps. Favre hasn’t made it a secret that he has wanted to play for the Vikings ever since his messy breakup with the Green Bay Packers last summer. After an up-and-down season with the New York Jets and being granted his release after the draft, it looks like Favre may get what he wants this time.
