We received a tip tonight from a reader that Doug Flutie could be in line to join the VERSUS coverage of the upstart UFL. And so we did some semi-real journalism (for a change), and we learned that, indeed, Flutie is close to a deal to join the broadcast team as an analyst. Flutie currently works as a college football analyst for ESPN/ABC. The potential impact of his gig with VERSUS on his ESPN/ABC job isn’t known.
