Former Jaguars Wide Receiver Placed On Probation

Former Jacksonville Jaguars first-round draft pick Reggie Williams avoided jail time in a possession of cocaine case that was settled Monday when he was sentenced to two years of probation.
Williams pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Associated Press, Williams, 25, can avoid having a felony conviction on his record if he fulfills future legal requirements.
Per the report, he’s now subject to random drug testing by Texas law enforcement authorities. He was also fined $200.

In 2007, Williams caught 38 passes for 629 yards and 10 touchdowns after catching 52 passes for 616 yards and four touchdowns in 2006.
Last season, Williams caught 37 passes for 364 yards and three touchdowns For his career, Williams has registered 189 receptions for 2,322 yards and 18 touchdowns.

The JAX lockerroom is pure poison. U know Williams and Jones were doing pre-game snooters. Add Del Rio, the axe and the tree stump, Mike Tice, and jones-drew’s fat ass, and you have all the makings for a toxic environment.

He fought the law… And he won? Good for him, I suppose. I’m not vengeful so I won’t say he belongs in jail for years, but probation for yay? I mean bud or pills, I can see, but nose candy should be 1-3 months even for the first offense, in my opinion.
Oh well, good for him. Hope he doesn’t f himself in the a by going back to the columbian party favors…

What’s with Jax receivers? Dropped passes, cocaine habits, a tendency to be busts, etc… they’re all a joke

It’s a shame that something so awful happened happened to such an awful player. His finished career obviously has no where else to go. Unless there is a place for tall first round busts who couldn’t catch a cold.
Actually, this totally fits of what should happen to him.

Yeah this was on the local radio earlier this afternoon. Big shock no one has requested his services. Matt Jones too for that matter.
Keyword is “Former”, hopefully Holt will be decent for a year or two. If Mike Walker can stay healthy, and keep his head straight…and the rookies help…
I’m trying to stay positive. It’s spring, we all have a chance. Except Indy, no Mudd and the OC might walk. I hope they fall apart.

Another brilliant Shack Harris draft pick. It will take the Jaguars years to undo the damage inflicted by Harris.
Not only could Williams not catch a cold, but he had an IQ of a small woodland animal. The guy couldn’t complete a coherent thought and he made Leftwich sound intelligent. He should be in jail on that fact alone.

Why you spending all your time glaring at Jones-Drews ass ?? You got a secret man crush on him ?? MJD is not fat, He is solid muscle, But you would not know that being you are spending all your time staring at his bum. You must be a Reggie Bush lover or Shawn Merrimans cousin.

A little bitter tealdeal?Maybe its from the same team (the colts) beating you over and over for years and years. Them getting all the press. The accolades. Jags being nothing more than the kids being left out when its time for the big people to play (afc championships.)

I doubt that his NFL career is over quite yet. He hasn’t been on the Cinci roster so far, has he?

  11. hamburglar says: May 12, 2009 8:56 AM

What I meant to say is that MJD is a fat pig….ps…your team blows.

  12. TealDeal says: May 12, 2009 9:58 AM

Bitter? Meh, maybe a bit since the Colts have owned the Jags since the inception of the AFC South.
I’m just ready for the Colts to get back to the basement of the NFL again where they belong.
