Tinoisamoa To Visit Bears

Former St. Louis Rams starting linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, who recently visited the Buffalo Bills, is exploring the prospects of reuniting with Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith.
Smith coached Tinoisamoa during his time as the Rams’ defensive coordinator, and he could wind up coaching the former University of Hawaii standout again in Chicago.
Tinoisamoa is scheduled to visit the Bears on Wednesday, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Cut by the Rams earlier this month after leading the team in tackles last year for the fourth time, the former second-round draft pick is regarded as undersized. However, Tinoisamoa is fast and is regarded as a sound tackler.
If he’s signed by Chicago, Tinoisamoa would reportedly join a competition with linebackers Hunter Hillenmeyer and Nick Roach.

  1. As a Bears fan, I’m happy to hear this – he’s a good guy. But hey Lovie, um…you still need a safety, might want to look in that direction.

  2. Urlacher, Briggs and Tinoisamoa sounds like an pretty good linebacker group to me.

  3. Lovie keeps thinking that he is still coaching a dome team and he only wants small, quick players.
That may work if you are playing on turf in a dry 72° bubble but the Bears play on grass here in Chicago where it gets wet, it snows and it gets cold as hell.
They play one game in Detroit and one game in Minnesota.
They play 8 games at Soldier Field and another one at Lambeau plus whatever else is on the schedule.
    Get a clue Lovie.
Build the damn team for your surroundings and stop trying to recreate your years in Tampa and St. Louis already!

  4. I could see that being a great fit actually. He has the history with Lovie, the talent around him and knowledge of the scheme. Should be a good pickup, if it happens.

  5. He would be awesome for the colts!!!!!! He can run and after all, they’re a dome/turf team. Lovie runs the cover two, so does Coyer now, imagine him on the colts in blitzing packages. He would be great but i can’t blame Lovie for this.
    GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Thats funny this site says the bears. On other sites they Pisa in Philadelphia. As bad as their WILL is, and all their money I find it hard to believe they let him out of town. Pisa wants money and is a natural WILL. The sites I read talked of him going to teams with a good amount of cap space. Everyone knows the Eagles always have that….cheap turds!
