The Detroit Lions have signed veteran unrestricted free agent offensive tackle Ephraim Salaam, according to the Detroit News. Salaam, who played for the Houston Texans for the past three seasons, took part in practice today. Salaam, 32, has had prior stints with the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 6'7,” 310-pound lineman played in 13 games for the Texans last season with no starts. Entering his 12th NFL season, the former San Diego State player has started 129 career games, including a total of 30 starts in 2007 and 2006 for the Texans.
