Does Rush Limbaugh actually have the cash/credit to buy an $800 million NFL team?
I doubt it. But if so, how the heck do I get into the radio business?

You just answered your own question. Bowlen might be worried Kroenke would move the Rams to Colorado, possibly even Denver, which would cut into his market share.
And a move to Colorado would make sense. Kroenke’s other teams are there, and it’s closer to the division they play in than St. Louis is.

There is nothing new to this story. Every component of this story was known yesterday. Bernie McClaus is a joke. He is the classic case of a so-called journalist who just sits around his house doing nothing. That’s allowed in the Midwaste, excuse me, Midwest. A phone call or two is considered work. McClaus is the anti-Florio. Florio works hard and thinks. Bernie does neither. Bernie weighs about 734 pounds. Give or take 200. I have seen him in person and he is like this giant Jabba the Hut. In St. Louis, Bernie always takes the righteous angle. He will wax on any issue without knowing anything important. He believes news occurs in his head. Wrong, fatboy.

Limbaugh owning a team would be a good thing IMO. He is passionate and knowledgeable about football. Though he is a KC fan, the Rams are probably a fine substitute. Now, if only we can get Tom Clancy back in the hunt for a team…

I just can’t envision any scenario involving multiple suitors clamoring to get in line to buy the Rams. Especially since the asking price is just short of a billion dollars. Given the realities of today’s marketplace, the NFL, in my opinion, needs to revisit the rule that restricts owners of multiple franchises from having to play in the same market. Just exactly what does the NFL have to do with the NBA or the NHL or vice versa anyway?

As I said before, the NFL should relax its rules and allow Kroenke to buy the team. The guy and his wife have very deep pockets and in this economy one would think the NFL should appreciate financial stability in a prospective owner. The league allowed Mr. Blockbuster considerable leeway to buy the Dolphins, allowed the Rooneys to continue to own racetracks for years and recently allowed what is a pretty weak patchwork ownership group to take over the Steelers in which Dan Rooney nor any others have a strong financial portfolio.
Pat Bowlen should not be allowed to block anything, the Rams are not anywhere close to Bronco territory.

Before Wayne Huizenga bought the Dolphins, the NFL prohibited owners to hold major league teams in any other sport. The league relaxed that rule for Huizenga, but put in its place a rule requiring that all of an owner’s teams reside in the same market.
if thats true then how can the glazers own the bucs and man u?
