Devin Thomas Looking To Rebound

Washington Redskins wide receiver Devin Thomas’ unproductive rookie season is behind him.
After catching just 15 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns last season after being drafted in the second round out of Michigan State, Thomas is optimistic that he’s going to justify the Redskins’ investment this year, according to Matt Mosley of ESPN.com
Thomas dealt with hamstring problems last season, starting just one game while appearing in all 16 contests.
“I showed up in pretty good shape, but you really have to take care of your body,” Thomas told ESPN.com. “I had to learn the hard way to balance my speed in practice because I went out and pulled a hamstring early on.
“I can stay out there longer because I’m smarter about how I prepare. I’m a speed guy, so I was basically trying to fly around people all the time in practice.”
Thomas, who signed a four-year, $4.8 million contract after being drafted 34th overall last year, rushed for one touchdown last season against the New York Giants.Thomas has drawn plenty of criticism over the past year, and acknowledged that he pays attention to what’s said and written about him.
No, I follow everything pretty closely,” said Thomas, who underwent offseason laser eye surgery. “I just sort of had a smirk on my face when I heard all that stuff. I took it with a grain of salt.”

I know a few ‘skins fans who forgot who Devin Thomas even was. I know he wants to rebound but I foresee a Sophomore slump. And then a trip to the free agent wire!

A sophomore slump, after 120 yds…..what is that 60 yds for the season?
His problem was his attitude and lack of knowledge of the playbook, not his hamstring. BUST

Transplanted Fan, a slump implies he has somewhere to go down from. 15 passes for 120 yards? That’s a good GAME for some guys. I predict he’ll double both of those figures this season….and then a trip to the free agent wire

APPARENTLY THE SKINS FANS YOU KNOW ARE NOT REAL SKINS FANS, OR THEY’RE THE MOST UNEDUCATED FANS IN FOOTBALL.
YOU FORESEE A SOPHOMORE SLUMP?? 1ST–HE ONLY HAS UP TO GO WITH LAST SEASONS INEFFECTIVENESS, 2ND–IF YOU’RE NOT A SKINS FAN, WHICH SOUNDS AS IF YOU’RE NOT, YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT’S GOING IN THE REDSKINS OFFSEASON TO EVEN OFFER A USEFUL OPINION, AND YOUR FRIENDS APPARENTLY KNOW VERY LITTLE.
ALSO, AFTER THIS YEAR THE GUY HAS 2 MORE YEARS ON HIS ROOKIE CONTRACT. THERE’LL BE NO FREE AGENT DEPARTURE ANYTIME SOON. OH YEAH, IT’S A WAIVER WIRE, NOT A FREE AGENT WIRE. NUFF SAID HERE.

HEY GENIUS!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD’VE CHECKED INTO WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE OFFSEASON WITH THIS PLAYER CURRENTLY BEFORE DECLARING ‘BUST’, AND IF YOU DON’T REALLY CARE THEN YOU SHOULDN’T COMMENT AT ALL.
HIS ATTITUDE IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THIS YEAR, AND HE LACKS ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE PLAYBOOK THIS YEAR AT ALL, AND YES, HIS HAMSTRING HAD A TON TO DO WITH WHY HE DIDN’T KNOW THE PLAYBOOK VERY WELL LAST YEAR AND WHY HE WAS BEHIND FROM THE START.
IF YOU WANT TO MAKE PROJECTIONS, GO AHEAD, BUT IF YOU GIVE REASONS AND TRY TO VALIDATE YOUR STATEMENT, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR FACTS FIRST.
    NEXT!!!!

WOW!! YOU’RE BOTH A COUPLE OF DINGLEBERRIES. IT’S WAIVER WIRE, WAIVER WIRE, WAIVER WIRE!! IT’S ‘FREE AGENCY PERIOD’!!! (NOT FREE AGENT WIRE.)
IT AMAZES ME THE STUPIDITY THAT I COME ACROSS WHEN READING THE CRAP SOME OF YOU PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO SAY, OR ARE TOO STUPID TO REALIZE HOW DUMB YOU SOUND WHEN SAYING IT, OR JUST SIMPLY DON’T GIVE A BUNGHOLE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO RAG ON THE REDSKINS.
FACE IT FAGASMO’S, THE REDSKINS ARE GONNA BE LOVELY THIS YEAR AND YOU’RE GONNA HATE IT. I LOVE IT!!!

D.C.DieHard is the freakin man i cant agree with him more. Devin Thomas is gonna shut all yalls mouths when he goes for over a 1000 this year.

“Waiver Wire”, “Free Agent Wire”, these are both acceptable terms. You do know that they don’t actually send the news of cuts out over the telegraph, right? It’s just a phrase. Don’t get your panties in such a bunch, princess.
