Report: Bears’ Forte Had MRI

Unable to practice Thursday after “hearing a pop in his left leg” and limping off the field Wednesday, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte had a magnetic resonance imaging exam to determine the extent of the injury, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune. Results of the MRI remain unknown per the report. Forte has reportedly either injured his calf or hamstring since the area of pain was behind the knee. Forte indicated on his Twitter account that he applied ice and the prognosis is “good.” At this point, it appears to be just a scare and not a long-term injury for the Bears’ top running back. Forte rushed for 1,238 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie.
