This story is nothing more than a bad rumor in order to spark interest in a has-been, mediocre quarterback that has no future in the NFL. Any professional team that wastes their time and possible their fan base signing a sluggo like Vick deserves to all the negativity that surrounds him. Like them or not, the Patriots have much more class than that.

Has anyone every watched a cable show documenting hunters killing deer, lions, cape buffalo, moose, etc., etc……for SPORT??
Just so they can take the carcass to a taxidermist and have the stuffed animal perched on the wall.
Oh….I get it…….the law gets manipulated to bend to the will of certain animal lovers while ignoring the wishes of others…..or is it that the Dog-loving lobby has got enough money and influence behind it that they get to dictate what thye laws say regarding dogs.
Why do we slaughter cows and pigs? Cows have their throats cut out and then they are dumped onto a slaughter house flloor until they pass out.
In China, dogs are killed and then hung for 2-3 days so the meat gets tender before consumption.
Vick has paid his debt to society. He has a right to get back to work. No one says bupkus when a guy beats the stuffing out of his girlfriend or wife and wants to get back to work though.

What good is winning 18 games when you lose the one that matters MOST. And if memory serves me correctly, both the 1985 Bears and one of the Niner teams both finished 18-1 (of course, both of those teams won when it mattered most, unlike the Pats who earned the title of “biggest choke in sports history” in their Super Bowl loss to the Giants.

The most entertaining comments here are from the NE fans talking about how Kraft will never stoop so low as to sign the likes of Vick.
Meanwhile, moral bankruptcy reigns at the head coaching level with the only coach who was fined and lost a #1 draft pick for cheating.
Please stop with the grandstanding and holier than thou pretenses. The Patriots would sign Vick in a heartbeat if he could prove to them that he can video tape without getting caught.

Myra Kraft would not put up with it? She seems flexible with employing Bill Belichick, who is a proven cheater both on the field and off the field with other men’s wives.

Rodney Harrison isn’t a thug? Yeah, and David Ortiz isn’t breaking down after years of steroid abuse.

I am a PATS fan (As you all probably know because nobody can stand me here>_<……)
Maybe the Pats signing Vick, getting him some exposure in tight goal line situations raise the value and trade for a 3rd rd pick or something. But that is after I sat there for 30 mins and tried to think of a reason.
And the reason as you can see makes very little sense. I just don’t see them signing him. I think he goes UFL, wows a bunch of people (see Lawerence Phillips in the NFL Europe, BTW how did Steve Young like that one) and gets a shot in the NFL in 2010-2011.
He did something sick and disgusting but he did not kill anyone (Leonard Little, and not learn you lesson) he did not beat a woman or have his kid bitten by a dog (James Harrison) which are MUCH more disgusting things to do.. The guy paid his time, he is trying to make a living and deserves a chance.
If you have issues with Vick playing and no issues with Little or Harrison playing then your common sense is severely lacking…….and you probably vote democrat.
On a separate topic, St. Louis sports Radio callers (What we get here in Earth City, MO) is about 50/50 on it.

Cry me a river! Vick didn’t “lose” anything – he threw it all away the day he started Bad Newz Kennels. He only pled guilty because a) both his other co-conspirators pled guilty, and b) the trial would have been incredibly damaging to Vick personally. Could you imagine the testimony of his partners?
As for his financial problems, that just proves he’s not very bright. He signed a $130 million contract, and he’s beyond broke? Not to mention the millions he stole from the pension fund of the employees of his company – while he was in prison!
I get so sick of the Vick apologists crying about all that he’s lost, etc. All of Vick’s problems are of his own doing. Further proof that Vick is a complete idiot. And the only thing Vick is sorry about is getting caught. He’s still be electrocuting dogs if his two cousins weren’t dumb enough to get busted.

This would be perfect for the Cheatriots! And, it would be perfect for all good people who hate cheaters like Bill Belicheat and his ilk, like Tommy Boy, whom we’re to think was totally oblivious that the plays broadcast into his helmet and worked every time were not the product of chance, but rather of cheating.
If anything, this would further seal the already ground-in stain of poor sportsmanship this franchise already possesses. And, it would cause Mr. Kraft, who gave his approval to the cheating by not firing Belicheat, to eat his words about not having turds on the team.

If Mike Vick possessed even 1/3 of the talent of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Brett Favre, I could see a tem risking the PR backlash to give him another chance. Fortunately, Micheal Vick sucks. He can’t pass worth a damn and is two years removed from the league and any form of decent diet or training. He was overrated before he went to prison and did not improve while he was in there. Why would anyone sign this guy when QBs with better skills and without criminal records nor media sideshow following them everywhere cannot find work? Is Mike Vick ever going to make Canton? Is he ever going to take a team to the Superbowl? Will he ever have a passer rating over 50??? No, he’s not going to do any of these things. So why would the Patriots, Queens or even the Raidahhhs take a chance on this loser???

As for Vick to the Pats? Doubt it, he isn’t old enough. And Belichik is gonna say the same thing as Payton said, why use a gimmick (the wildcat) if you have a real quarterback? As for the Rams or Vikes, those are much more realistic possibilities.
Personally, I would love to see Vick play again. He made the NFL interesting. I dont ever recall watching him play and not be amazed or entertained, usually mad too, at his skills.
