Scout.com reports that the league office has disapproved three contracts between the Falcons and three of their 2009 draft picks.
The affected players are third-round cornerback Chris Owens, fifth-round offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds, and sixth-round linebacker Spencer Adkins.
Per Adam Caplan of Scout.com, the issues were minor.
A league source tells us that the issue arose from a “language oversight” relating to team incentives and individual “not likely to be earned” incentives.
Per Scout.com, revised contracts are expected to be approved next week.

Do these things happen yearly?
I am not trying to be a wise ass, I seriously want to know.
Couldn’t find an answer when I googled the issue.
Falcons Rookie Deals Require A Tweaking
Oh his poor nipples. Is this part of rookie hazing?
If I recall correctly, this happened with a few Saints during this year’s offseason… Jon Vilma, Devery Henderson, and Jon Stinchcomb all had their contracts disapproved for tweaking. I think this might happen a lot more often than it is reported. Hell, my time sheet is disappoved about 50% of the time at the end of every week for “tweaking”.
Did the clause have anything to do with interstate dog fighting operations?
Cheaters.
Championship.
The Falcons have a rookie named Deals? Couldn’t find him anywhere on the Falcons website or the NFL draft log.
