Seventh-round tight end Dan Gronkowski has signed with the Detroit Lions, agreeing to a three-year, $1.21 million deal, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com. Gronkowski received a signing bonus of roughly $26,000, per the report. The former University of Maryland player caught a career-high 29 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns as a senior. For his career, the 6'5", 256-pounder caught 40 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns. Regarded as a strong blocker, Gronkowski was a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference academic selection who graduated in three years. Gronkowski has 4.78 speed in the 40-yard dash.
