Bruschi Taking It Year To Year

For New England Patriots veteran linebacker Tedy Bruschi, it’s a
year-to-year approach at this point as he prepares for each NFL season.

According to the Associated Press, Bruschi isn’t focused on anything beyond this season, which will be his 14th overall.

While conducting a football camp today at Gilette Stadium, Bruschi, 36, discussed his philosophy about his playing future.

“After you get past 10 [years] I think that’s the way you have to do
it because you never know what’s going to happen within a year,”
Bruschi said.  “You just don’t.  So when the season’s over, you sort of
reassess things and that’s how it’s going to go again.”

Bruschi registered 75 tackles last season with no sacks.  Although
he missed the final three games of the season due to a knee injury,
Bruschi has a clean bill of health for next season.

And running the football camp has given Bruschi a taste of what he
might like to do whenever he does decide to hang up his cleats.

“I know I can coach,” Bruschi said.  “I know the game.  I’ve been in
it so long, it’s just going to be a matter of what I do when I’m done.
So, I don’t know.  It’s a passion of mine.  I love football.  I know I
want to be in it.  Let’s just see what I’ll be doing.”

Bruschi’s courageous return from a stroke years ago was an inspiration to many.

And if Bruschi can impart his hard-nosed style and respect for the
game when his playing days are over, then he would be a true asset to
the coaching profession as well.

… as opposed to Favre taking it month to month
or is it week to week?
    … or day to day?
    or hour to hour?
    or minute to minute?

Hold on, there’s another guy taking it year to year and it hasn’t resulted in 5000 comments about how he should hang them up and retire and how he’s washed up and…?
Are there no Bruschi haters out there like the Favre haters?

Easy there V…Bruschi has just come out this year saying he isn’t sure and is just focused on this year…
Favre on the other hand has retired twice now and left GB hanging the first time, held a huge press conference, cried, cried some more, plugged his Wranglers, cried a little more…
Easy gameday…I wouldn’t be too happy as we need to see how your steriod using boy Merriman fares this year.
