Cook Impressing Titans Quickly

Jaredcook.jpgTight end Jared Cook was the third draft pick by the Titans in April, but Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean says he's been the most impressive rookie this summer.

The third-round pick from South Carolina has impressed veteran Alge Crumpler, among others.

"That's what we're trying to get out of him, a total mismatch," Crumpler said.  "Nobody's going to run with him, we've seen that from the get-go."

It's not surprising Cook looks tough to stop in shorts and T-shirts because he is a speedy catch-first tight end.  His big test will come when he has to block in training camp.

If Cook can survive August, he will give Kerry Collins another receiving weapon for a team that also added wide receiver Nate Washington and first-round pick Kenny Britt this offseason.

That should make life easier for Every Coach's Dream Dumb and Dumber
