Judge Rules Against Release Of Stallworth Video

We reported a couple of weeks ago that a video exists of the accident that claimed the life of 59-year-old Mario Reyes, and that resulted in a guilty plea by Browns receiver Donte’ Stallworth to DUI manslaughter.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, a judge ruled today that the video will not be made available to the public.

Though attorneys and designated representatives will be permitted to view the tape, it’s unclear whether it will be available to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in connection with his ultimate suspension decision.

It’s possible, we’re told, that Goodell will be required to travel to Miami to view the video.

I don’t see how on Earth Goodell would be able to see the video if the rest of the general public can’t. What say you, Florio? You should have explained the legalities of that some more. Just because you quit your day job doesn’t mean you can’t still give us some legal knowledge.

how much has this douche been afforded by the judge!

If the judge already decided that the tape is not to be viewed by the public then why would Goodell be allowed to view it? If Roger actually asks to see the tape anyway, he is a bigger boner than I thought. Regardless of what is ego thinks, the judge should tell him he’s a citizen like anyone else in the eyes of the court.

You can send it to Roger. He’s good at destroying tapes.
He destroyed the Belichick and the Cheats box set a few years back….

why do I have the feeling Matt Walsh is responsible for this video and Jay Glazer has seen it?

glazer is going to air it on the next episode of pros vs. joes…. which is a prelude to stallworth appearing on the show.

If you read the article, Stallworth’s lawyer will be able to view it in the future because of the impact it could have on his future employment. The article says it shows Mr. Reyes “darting” into traffic.

I have to point out this video was seen by the judge who sentenced Stallworth, the prosecutor who approved the plea deal and almost certainly by the Reyes family and their representatives. It should be abundantly clear at this point that the sentence that Stallworth received was completely appropriate considering the circumstances
