The black Cadillac Escalade registered to former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair, who was shot to death along with a woman believed to be his girlfriend, was involved in a DUI arrest two days ago, according to Kate Howard of the Tennessean.
Per the report, the car was registered to McNair and a 20-year-old woman named Sahel Kazemi.
And Kazemi was charged with DUI and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, according to police reports.
According to published reports, a black Escalade was towed away from the downtown Nashville condo where McNair and an unidentified woman were discovered today.
Police have confirmed that woman was not McNair’s wife, Mechelle.
And CNN has reported that the woman killed was McNair’s girlfriend.
However, it hasn’t been determined conclusively whether Kazemi was McNair’s girlfriend.
Very sad day in the NFL, he was a good player. God rest his soul. The players lost a good player and person today.
Unfortunately, this sounds like a case of jealous ex-boyfriend getting revenge after being dumped for older/rich professional athlete. It certainly doesn’t sound like a random killing, that’s for sure…..
This story is brutal.
I hope the press (which now includes PFT) can focus upon the tragedy of McNair’s death and leave the fact that he was found with a woman other than his wife for a later day out of respect for those who survived him.
What a nightmare for his wife and kids.
Arron Wilson,
This is going all come out. The girl linked to the car was 20 years old? Man I hope she was not in that condo.
My point is, I reckon.
Keep the reports coming in a P.F.T. fashion….
Forget the fact you are now part of one of the “Weak Major Networks” who suck in breaking news.
There is a reason T.M.Z. and non traditional news sources break all the major stories.
Well done young man. Tell Florio you want a raise.
McNair was married?…is that a motive?
Unfortunately, for those who want the fact that he might have been involved in some infidelity upon his death to be ommited from the story, it’s very important to understanding what happened here. I agree the sensationalism and judgement over whether he was cheating on his wife is inappropriate, but the authorities will need to determine a motive for either a suicide/murder or double homicide shortly, so it’s very central to what’s happened.
I always saw the man as a class act, and I’m only concerned with what i knew of him in the public eye. The facts of this case will not tarnish my opinion of him because I didn’t know him personally, nor should it for others.
Didn’t McNair have an issue with a car that was registered in his name a few years back?
“former girlfriend”
For all the “he was a nice guy” comments. Like many other saints he has shown over time that he is as susceptable to the trappings of fame and money like many before him.
Maybe, and I’m just saying, he was never a nice guy. We all know that a few things during his playing days were swept under the rug. I do believe that an officer was even suspended for helping him out.
