In the wake of three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Steve McNair’s death in a Nashville shooting, the Tennessee Titans have issued a statement.
Owner Bud Adams knew McNair for more than a decade, dating back to the 1995, when the then-Houston Oilers selected McNair with the third overall pick in the draft.
“We are saddened and shocked to hear the news of Steve McNair’s passing today,” Adams said. “He was one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans.
“He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they deal with his untimely passing.”
.. but hes still not allowed to work out at our facilities!
Really shocked. A great player and HOF person.
JohnComp12….you are an idiot. How could you make a joke like that? I am sure your karma will return the favor.
Dog fighter gets what’s due!
I wonder if they will retire his number now.

That was all about legal bull-crap, and insurance rules. It was not a dish on McNair.
This was a good man, a good father. This is bigger than the game.
The tragedy seems deeper when it happens to a guy who has done so much for others.
Wow! total shock, RIP McNair and the lady that was found with him whoever she is.
I think Donald Driver and McNair were at Alcorn State at the same time – wonder if he”ll be issuing a statement -
