Public Memorial For McNair On Thursday

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that a public memorial will be held Thursday for Steve McNair, the former Oilers, Titans, and Ravens quarterback who died on Saturday.

The event runs from 3:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. local time at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Whites Creek, Tennessee.  A service will commence at 7:00 p.m.

McNair’s funeral will be held in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, most likely on Saturday, July 11.

    A damn shame. He was my fantasy football MVP for a couple of years…and I remained loyal to him and drafted him even during his lackluster Ravens tenure.

    I trust they’re not going to set up a public viewing for his bullet-ridden body….
    But in this day and age you never know.

    Lackluster perhaps… But after Kyle boller he looked like the second coming of Jesus Christ in purple and black.

    Steve you are dearly missed. You are an inspiration to a generation of young athletes and all people for that matter. Thanks for the memories.
